Curious about me?

I am a twenty-three year old young professional independently supporting myself in Toronto. I became fascinated with personal finance when I was 18 years old, and since then I have been obsessed with saving and investing. This blog is a result of my desire to connect with other twenty-somethings and to facilitate conversation about money and what we do with it.

It’s very frustrating to me that school never taught me how to do my taxes, what an RRSP entails, what a mutual fund is, or how to invest. The only way to beat a system is to know the rules of the game, and that is what this blog is attempting to navigate.

For now, I’m blogging in complete anonymity.  But if you stick around I hope we can be friends.

Something else I firmly believe is that even though I am striving for complete financial freedom, I don’t want to do so at the cost of missing incredible life experiences.  So this blog will also be a chronicle of my frugal ways of finding adventure and travel.

Here are some things I like:  piano, baking, writing, pottery, gardening, beach volleyball, tea, chocolate, reading, hanging out with my friends, and eating.  My god do I love eating.

So please, sit back, relax, and enjoy the attempts at witty banter as I push myself towards that ultimate goal; complete financial freedom.
